Who is Deb??
Hi! this is me!!! Pleased to meet you! I'm all the stuff above plus a wife of a loving husband, mother of a wonderful smart little boy, and an Entrepreneur working at home programming Internet applications and web sites. Here are a few tidbits and excerpts for your reading pleasure: I am currently studying everything I can get my hands on. I've been known to be a bit compulsive when learning a new skill or working on new projects, often I get started and never want to quit!! I've been asked if it's hard to go to work in the morning, since my office is just a few steps away in what used to be the formal living room of my house. It's not. Actually, it's hard to get me to stay AWAY from the computer. I hate housework, but I love decorating, go figure. I've always tried to be the best I could be, honest, loving, understanding, helpful and courteous. My biggest pet peeve is obnoxious, and rude people. (Can I add bad drivers to that list?!?!) If I had one wish granted in life, since I know that we'll never have world peace, it would be that everyone in the world would obey this golden rule: Do unto others as you would do unto yourself! I think it's a man's job to take out the trash and mow the lawn, but I don't like when men think women are feeble and can't do anything strenuous by themselves... I like when someone holds the door for me, but yes, I can lift the 10 pound box of kitty litter all by myself thanks! 8-) Six years ago, while trying to cross advertise a personal Olympics page of mine, I met Dave Rosselle & his wife, Debbie. (Yes, a pair of Dave & Debbie's)! Together we started WEB-TEC Designs, and have been going strong ever since! I also contract from time to time with Graphic Design, programming, application development and prototyping. Web-Tec basically serves the small business and mail order clientele, but I have been working on a few projects lately that get much more technical. So far, my clients seem to have been very pleased with my services (giving me a BIG ego boost), and have spread the word around! Hopefully in the future my business will be doing well enough that I won't have to do anything else! (update 8/20/99 - I'm there now! I gave up my part time job to work at home exclusively, and have been keeping VERY busy)! All my friends found out that I could tinker around with these computers and actually make them work 8-) now I call myself jokingly "Debbie Technical Support." I have fixed Internet connections, upgraded hardware, installed networks, I have even been a "Purchase Consultant" from time to time!! I don't mind. I build all of my own computers & like helping friends. I think the Internet is wonderful. Here I can express myself in any way I want, learn things I wouldn't have bothered with otherwise, and I can meet hundreds of interesting people! (I am not one to enjoy chatting for hours with strangers though - sorry)! I have always been the creative type, and on the Internet I can actually apply it to something interesting and anybody that wants to can see it! I have been awarded for my creativity, in April of 1997 I won first prize contest at desktopPublishing.com for a logo that I designed... the award was Adobe's Photoshop. I've been in the Atlanta Journal Constitution twice and Southern Living Magazine! Yeah! New Endeavors: My husband and I are planning on becoming pregnant again! We can't start trying 'till April due to an insurance rider, but I figure my due date will be January 1st, 2001! (OK, old news.... It just didn't work and we have given up. Kind of scary to think of starting all over again when our boy just turned 9!) My other interests include: Cub Scouts, playing the bass guitar & keyboard, camping, boating, skiing, jet skiing, studying new and interesting things, creating new and interesting things, surfing the net, planting flower gardens, decorating my house, and going on drives (motor cycle rides) up to the North Georgia mountains. (1999) We've had an eventful summer - The storms here in Georgia have taken their toll, an electrical surge took nearly all of the electronics in the house including the stove and air conditioner (during 106 heat indexes). Luckily I had the computers unplugged, but I spent nearly a month getting things back in order. Two weeks after the big storm, another came and knocked down the only remaining tree in our back yard! Thank God for insurance!!! (1999) Travis and I also enjoyed going to Grand Haven, Michigan (Mine and my husband's home town). We go every year to visit with family, and to celebrate my 94 year old Grandmother's Birthday, but this year I was especially motivated to meet my brand new baby nephew. (Maternal hormones kicking in). So now, I send you off with my best wishes for you and yours, whoever
you may be. When you go, please remember these wise words: See My resume See an article on my Personality type
